Chapter 25

I've finally gotten around to shaking up my community venues, in both Willow Creek and Oasis Springs.  I love taking my Sims out and about, so I've been haunting the Gallery looking for fun ideas...

During the first BuildnShare Challenge on the Official Forums, I came across this this awesome museum, made by ahholladay.  I fell in love with the atrium (it actually sparked my design idea for my Red Warehouse), but I didn't see it as a museum in my town.  Instead, I plopped it over the old gym in Oasis Springs, renamed it to "Boudreaux Bodyworks" (after ahholladay's Sim designer Mike), and converted it to a gym by clearing out the computer stations upstairs and adding exercise equipment.

My lot was also larger than the original designer's 30 by 20, so I had plenty of room to expand.  I stretched out the exercise area towards the back, and added a locker room with showers!  The rest I left as is.  I love how it turned out!

(Please note, I will *not* be sharing this version on the Gallery since it's a modification of another Simmer's design, and they should get the credit).

Geoffrey Landgraab got to check out the new gym first!

His face said it all.  He wasn't there to pump iron or run on the treadmill.  No, it was grim business indeed that laid ahead...

As he suspected, Scarlet Firecracker was at the gym, hanging around with her other boyfriend, Don Lothario.

Geoffrey almost turned back out of fear (was it fear of change?), but then he pictured Gladys in his mind and knew what he must do.  He marched right up to Scarlet and said, "We need to talk."

Great Freezer Bunny, why does she have to look so good!?  He stammered, "It's about us."

Scarlet jumped off the treadmill, immediately looking upset.  Oh, no, 'the talk.'  That could only mean one thing...

She snarled, "You can't break up with me.  I have to break up with you!" Scarlet was hot-headed, all right.

"Then break up with me, Scarlet.  I don't care.  It's over.  I love someone else now.  She means the world to me."

Scarlet said, "I love someone else, too.  Lots of someone else's.  What's the problem?"

Geoffrey rolled his eyes.  Serial romantics...

"I don't want to woohoo with you anymore, Scarlet."

"You don't like my woohoo?"

"It's over, Scarlet.  You'll always be the mother of my child, but I can't woohoo you anymore."

In the lobby downstairs, Geoffrey invited Gladys Morse to join him.  He told her all about breaking up with Scarlet...

"I love you and only you, my dear Gladys."

Suffice to say, she quite enjoyed the confession.

They celebrated by going on a whirlwind dating spree around town, hitting up all the new places in town.

One was the Concept Art Lounge (downloaded from the Gallery; Origin ID white_lily_0206), a lovely community lot I placed in Willow Creek.

The lovebirds had the time of their lives!

Another day, I took them to the Cyber Cafe in Oasis Springs - this lot is actually the Futures Past museum, but I changed it to a library after some major renovations.

The top floor has fun computer stations...

While the first and second floor have books and comfortable seating arrangements.  There's also coffee available.

It was really fun re-imagining the lot, and it's one of my favorites to use for dating!

Geoffrey and Gladys spent quite some time there...

I noticed Digitalis Wolff, one of "Nina's seven," playing chess out on the 3rd floor balcony.

Geoffrey and Gladys would bump into him again, but as their bartender at a new lot I've named Holladay's Restaurant.

This is another of ahholladay's builds from the Gallery.  I couldn't wait to take Geoffrey and Gladys there on a date!

They enjoyed their date, even though they sat really far from each other at the bar, lol.  (The Sim in purple is Sonny Padilla, one of Scarlet's old woohoo conquests.  It's really fun recognizing Sims!  Takes me back to my Sims 2 days! *sniffles*)

The dating spree finally reached epic proportions when Geoffrey found the perfect moment in time...

"Gladys, I can't imagine my life without you."

He was very tired, but he couldn't stop himself.  He dropped to one knee...

"Gladys, my heart, will you marry me?"

Gladys inspected the ring size, lol.

Then squealed, Yes!

She felt like a young girl again!

Very happy and very tired, Geoffrey went home with a smile.  Really, just look at that smile!

Thanks for reading!

Awe! I know it was tough, Geoffrey, but you were amazing! Poor Scarlett doesn't know what to do with herself. I wonder if she'll change at all or if this just will be ignored and she'll continue her conquests.

Geoffrey's little line about "serial romanatics" cracked me up!
